Our Autumn Study Weekend, organised by Kate Dyson, will concentrate on an interesting group of houses and castles in Norethern Ireland.  At the kind invitation of the Earl of Erne, we will be staying in his private home, Crom Castle.  The National Trust's recent lavish restoration of Mount Stewart, the 1744 house of the Londonderry family, is a highlight.

Privately owned Grey Abbey House is considered to be one of the finest Georgian country houses in Ireland.  We will be lunching with the owners, Bill and Daphne Montgomery.  Other highlights include a study visit to an important private collection of Irish furniture.

We will also visit Baronscourt, remodelled by Soane and the seat of the Duke of Abercorn, as well as Castle Coole and Florence Court, two important Georgian houses now owned by the National Trust.
