MembershipIncluding a visit to 'Ireland on a World Stage 1690-1840' at the Art Institute of Chicago
'Ireland on a World Stage 1690-1840' at the Art Institute of Chicago will be the first exhibition to concentrate on Irish decorative arts of the eighteenth century. It will feature three hundred objects of furniture, metalwork, glass and textiles as well as paintings, sculpture and architecture. This study tour will include private visits 'before hours' to the exhibition, led by curators, Christopher Monkhouse and Eloise W Martin. Visits to the Driehaus Collection at the Nickerson House and the Glessner House collection will also be made, as well as to that of Mr John Bryan at Crab Tree Farm. Accomodation will be based at the Union League Club in Chicago.
