A look behind the scenes at one the world's leading restoration workshops.
Established in 1834 as a bronze and ormolu foundry, Hatfields has evolved to specialise in the restoration and conservation of 18th and 19th century English and French furniture and still holds one of the most extensive ormolu archives in the world.
The tour will be led by the workshop manager, who will give us a detailed look at current projects - including looking at specialist lacquer and gilding work and the projects of the resident picture framer.
This visit is free and solely for members of the Early Career Development group, but attendance must be booked in advance.
