The centrepiece of this four day, three night visit will be an entire day studying the collections at the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, which has recently undergone a series of major refurbishments. The day will be led by staff and by the museum’s former Curator of Furniture, and FHS Events Chairman, Sarah Medlam. Other days will be spent examining collections in some of the nearby country houses; we hope to include visits to Raby Castle, Rokeby Hall, Aske Hall and Kiplin Hall.
