Nick Wright, writer and furniture collector, has an important collection of postmodern furniture including blueprint pieces by Studio Alchimia, Ettore Sottsass and Alessandro Mendini presented at the Venice Biennales, the Alcantara exhibition, and mobile infinito, Materialidea. Also a small collection of Andre Dubreuil Prototypes made when he worked with Tom Dixon and Mark Brazier Jones in London. He is the co-author of Cut and Shut: The History of Creative Salvage with Gareth Williams, Head of Contemporary Art and Design at Bonhams.
He has previously lent objects to the V&A for their 2012 exhibition Postmodernism: Style and Subversion 1970 - 1990.
The collection is based in Haringey, London. We will have an informal tour of the collection followed by a Q&A.
