MembershipWOULD YOU LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE BIFMO PROJECT?
We are looking for research assistants to update the information in the BIFMO database that was taken from the 1986 publication of the Dictionary of English Furniture Makers, 1660-1840. This will involve reviewing journals, books. magazines and trade catalogues produced over the past thirty-two years, revising and rewriting outdated entries, and also writing entirely new entries about furniture makers who have been discovered since the Dictionary’s seminal publication. Researchers' authorship will be acknowledged and credited on the BIFMO website.
Candidates must have a good knowledge of furniture history, the ability to write short bibliographical essays, and be prepared to commit two days per week. Remuneration includes a small stipend and travel expenses.
